#365 - Construction finished

The tall one to the right was a neverending project. Now they are finally done with it. They started up a new one to it's right and the structure to the very left is now empty and read for tear down, I guess.
I would NOT want to live in the middle building, even if you'd pay me ;-)

#365 - #Kuwait

Weird weather today.
Wind picked up again & if it keeps at it, we gonna be dust covered again.
We had that yesterday. Yuck!

Wishing you all a good Monday!
I'm having Lunch outside, despite wind and a slight yucky feeling on my skin.
Soon it will be too warm for this :-/

#365 - Kuwait / Embrace the noise

No, not the one outside, even though it's loud.
But you don't hear it no more after a while.
In this shot I've embraced the noise. Did something wrong while taking photos half asleep the other day (of course without a tripod).
I tried not to get the military boat on the photo that's there at most times and forgot all else over it, it seems ;-)

Anyhow, wishing you all a great week!

But sitting in my comfy chair on the balcony knitting is just so nice in this weather. Gotta enjoy it as Long as it lasts.

#365 #Kuwait - Mangaf beaches

Much going on at 'my' beaches.
The old Amir's place is finally gone, new construction is coming up.

From Kuwait 2013

Unfinished buildings at the main road and the trash is still the same too.
But currently there are actually 4 guys in their yellow street cleaner suits cleaning up some of the mess. Did folks here actually start to learn?

Also new construction at my old playground.

There we are again :-)

Sort of what it looked like today (this shot is from 2011 though).
Cheers from sunshiny Kuwait!
Hope all of you are well :-)
We enjoy nicer temperatures, open doors and a sunny ocean view :-)
Life's good ;-)!

Module 4 a - Advanced Mentorship for Photographers

Not completely happy with the results, but for starters,
here's a photo from a Medieval market in Koenigsfeld, Germany 2012

On all photos (except for the original) I have edited with fill light & contrast. For the b/w (sepia) one I have used a LR preset with the above adjustments.
Same for the 'creative' one (I would have loved something different, but I couldn't get there).
The 'creative' one is a Holga preset & I've filled some light and added some vibrancy.

Module 3 - Advanced Mentorship got Photographers

My results for week 3 in the G+ Mentorship program for Photographers.
Not my greatest week ever. Cold, windy and either raining or snowing.
I took the few hours I had last Thursday in between work and went to the Rhine river with his flooded river banks.
I accidentally shot everything on ISO 1000, oh well.
The least edited photos are due to my (non existent) editing skills and the ones with some more editing due to Lightroom presets.

Well, I wish you all a great weekend. Maybe I get some sunshine tomorrow :-)

Soon again

From Kuwait

Preparations are running in full gear now.
One hangup is getting a hold of the Vet service here in Germany (it's Karneval, but I have two to pick from) and getting a pick up organized in Kuwait from the airport.
But I'm working on both.
Otherwise it's going smooth. That's scary ;-)

I am way behind with my Photography mentorship program.
Today is my last work day though, so I'll catch up eventually :-)
Glad Ron is such a patient teacher ;-P

Now, back on some snowy Eifel roads for the last time and dealing with kids on a sugar high (first day of Karneval,...)

Catch you on the flip side!

Time is a curious thing

From Egypt
It is fickle and elusive.
Statues crumble and people get desperate.
There's never enough of it
and the older you get, the faster it is gone.
